The purpose of https is security.
Im a little bit lazy to search but can anybody help me out with the pop up message which I get everytime I open a page on NM (it has to do with https).
Also I can't see no images, I've to re-open it in a new tab before I can see it

    Edit:
The pop up message says: The site contains content which is not sent in https form, and for that reason it can be insecure.

What browser? If it's IE then Tools/Internet options/Security/Custom level/Display mixed content click Enable.

If it's Firefox then use this link

      For Chrome use
      http://googlechrometutorial.com/goog...-settings.html

        Difference from HTTP
As opposed to HTTP URLs which begin with "http://" and use port 80 by default, HTTPS URLs begin with "https://" and use port 443 by default.
HTTP is unsecured and is subject to man-in-the-middle and eavesdropping attacks which can let attackers gain access to website accounts and sensitive information. HTTPS is designed to withstand such attacks and is considered secure against such attacks (with the exception of older deprecated versions of SSL).

        that's from Wikipedia.xD
it's more secure with https i guess..
when I die fuck it I wanna go to hell , 'cause I'm a piece of shit it ain't hard to fuckin' tell.

^ i disabled thanks in letter to president, whats happening and welcome to the hood sections as its not necessary

https is just an added level of security for the site. it may not be as important as it is on a site such as paypal, but it cant hurt to be more secure. thanks djukak for that awesome post on fixes for the https error. that error generates on any pages with images that are pulling from a non https site (like imageshack links) that simple fix that djukak posted for each browser fixes it and keeps the site and your account/password safe
