  • New Rules Gaming Section

Why would you like to keep the sections "Clearly" as you stated as there are limitations with video's and images on one post so when we go to post new information eventually till a games release if we hit that limit we are gonna have to post new information pages away and then everyone will be confused as all the information won't be there on the first page.Personally i feel that this is a terrible suggestion to be honest. Was this approved and voted in by all staff members or was this just something that you had decided to do as the thread was closed we never really were allowed to discuss. If this is the case i will be no longer posting gaming news as i don't think your idea will work quite right. This is a discussion forum with sections for everything why should it matter if we have more or less threads.

[MENTION=1]root what's your take regarding this also thanks fella's

I think ex made this rule.

I am at a Dutch game website that do the same thing, ex suggested.

All the info of release dates, developers, short story are in the first post, and all the new news just gets posted in the topics.

I am not the biggest fan of this aswell, but i must say that it works.

i have no idea what that is as it was never brought to my attention... looks like ex was trying to clean up the section a bit...

i see this going both ways... obviously it will be more cleaner with everything being discussed about a certain game in one thread... but on the other hand its kinda hard to tell "news" from a regular discussion post if everything is just posted in the same thread..... and actually making new threads brings more traffic to the site which in turn may get people to sign up if they are tupac fans... lol

I works really well on that forum, cause people discuss everything related in those threads.

The only big difference with that site and this site is. All the different threads u make, are posted on the homepage on that gaming site, as NEW headlines. So they dont need several topics about 1 game on the forum.

We dont have a homepage with all new gaming headlines, so I think the way u post the news will work the best here.

I have a good idea I think. Maybe we should make a new sub forum named Game News Headlines. And post all gaming related news in their. So in the other sub forum we can just discuss about games overall.

              What u think?

we dont need 1000 threads for one game
we dont need x same threads for play station, x-box, nintendo, pc etc.

maybe a new sub-forum, I have to talk with Josh

I am sure we can come to an agreement on something that works

rule 2 makes sense, and I am pretty sure we all have been doing that anyways.
if the game comes out on nintendo only, put in nintendo.
if it comes out on ps1,2,3 only, put in Sony
if it comes out on xbox/360 only, put in Microsoft
if it comes out for pc, put in pc
if it comes out on multi platforms, put in consoles

the one exception i would say is for games from sega. just to kinda of divide some of the games. games made by sega (since they are a software company only now) should go into the sega section

The same goes for handhelds and all subs, except there are no multi platform handheld games that i know of, so nothing should ever really be posted in handhelds. all threads should be in 3DS/DS Vita/PSP or Mobile/Tablets. If we are missing some type of handheld gaming devices, let me know and i'll add a sub for it.

Can we at least agree on this for now while we work on the rest? [MENTION=458]Big Exodus, [MENTION=2399]GreenL420, & [MENTION=856]LarsVerb once you guys all check in that you agree to that, we will start working on a solution. i already have a few ideas.

as long as I dont have to switch 20 threads just for 1 game I'm fine

the problem with gaming news is 90% are speculation and rumours.

so create a sub forum for assorted rumours, and keep it separate from official news.

Was gone for a day sorry bout the delay the 2nd one is fine as i have always been doing that anyways i only put the game in the console section if its multi platform but i'll continue to make separate threads for each games news update until you [MENTION=1]root tell's me otherwise and if that first rule comes into play then ill just stop posting game news altogether. In no way am i trying to be an ass or anything like that but if you check the gamer section you understand how much i post for that section and doing it as you suggested is just a whole bunch of extra work keeping each individual thread updated and is messy and not worth my time im not saying im the only one who posts there but i do the majority
