Question about logging in from another computer.

So right now because of work I'm not home a lot between that and networking at night and volunteering my time. So I tried signing in during 9 - 5 hours from my office and it worked but I'm wondering if that will get me in trouble with the site? for the rest of the month and august other than weekends this is my option.

i think you can log in from different computers but if two accounts come from the same ip address then your in trouble
ex: if i already logged in with my personal log-in info. then later another member gives me his log in info. and password then i log in on my with my comp.

if a member gives u their password and u log in from ur computer that means multiple IP's same account... Take a second to think about it

I believe we have methods to find out whether you are sharing ur password or not and our invistigation department is pretty.... insanely good lol

thanks. so you'll know whether or not I'm password sharing or just logging in myself from a different computer? then I guess I shouldn't have anything to worry about. My post count means virtually nothing at this point cuz I don't even have download privileges right now anyways mostly because of this situation or never being able to stay at my comp.

^yea it can be a bit confusing. look at like this. there are two modifications checking logins. the first one checks multiple things when you sign in, the only one that you guys really have to worry about is IPs

for IPs: if the site detects MORE THAN ONE account sharing an IP, it will catch it and report it to the admins, and in most cases auto ban. if the site detects ONE ACCOUNT using multiple IP's, it is not a problem unless any of those IP's have ever been used by another member. the site keeps IP logs forever

the first one catches IP/account sharers for accounts being shared by other members of the site.

the second one checks for members sharing their account with multiple people, when none of the other people have signed up before. it does this by tracing IP's. if you sign into an account from lets say New York, and then a few hours later sign in from the UK, that looks shady and it is reported. this one doesnt auto ban but reports to all the gmods/admins

if you just going from work to home and what not its not a problem, the second modification is pretty good at detecting what is and isnt shady
