Hey guys. My name is Angie and I'm new to these parts. I'm a recent college graduate, and Pac influenced me so much. I majored in creative writing partly because he helped me to realize that I have a voice and it should be heard. I recently sent his mom my senior project called "Concrete Roses" that was of course inspired by Pac. I can honestly say that I learned more from him than I did from my biological father.
It's hard to believe it's been fifteen years since he left this earth. I can still remember being eight years old, watching the news footage at my cousin's house of the BMW sitting in the middle of the street, shot up. After his death, at school most of us lil "ghetto kids" came back rocking a Pac shirt that a local beauty supply store was selling lol. We were too young to fully understand the depths of Pac's music, but we knew he told us to keep our heads up and we knew we were more than the have nots just because Pac told us that. The beauty of Pac is that he continues to inspire generation after generation of people from all walks of life. Makaveli definitely lives on!
Anyway, that's my little essay lol. I look forward to hanging out around here.
