Happy New Years everyone. As promised here are the announcements that Notorious-Makaveli.com has for 2011.
Announcement #1
We will be upgrading to vBulletin 4. vBulletin is the forum software that this site runs on, and vBulletin 4 is latest version of that software. We are the first and only 2Pac and/or Biggie site to do this. There has been a test forum up for the staff for about 2 months now, and the staff has been getting used to it, so that when we do upgrade, we will be ready to manage/moderate/administrate it right out the gate.
vBulletin 4 has a ton of new features, but rather than type them out, check out the full list here vBulletin-The Most Powerful Forum Software Available.
We are going to make the transition to VB4 as painless and possible. When we are ready, the site will go offline, we'll upgrade, and put it back online as VB4. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours. Everything will be there in the new site including shoutbox, top 5 stats, and all the other modifications your used too, as well as some more goodies.
We are looking at 1st Quarter 2011 for the upgrade. Everything is ready now, and the license has been purchased (without accepting a single donation I might add) All we are waiting for now is the Web Designers to put the final touches on the styles. We'll have more information and a date of the upgrade soon.
Announcement #2
Notorious-Makaveli.com has a new reference section coming. This reference section will be the first of its kind. It will not be based off the forum, but its own page, and this page will fully in adobe flash. I got in contact with Dante, and got the database he had from 2pacforum.com and his permissions to use it, and Bushi is hard at work taking that database and integrating it into a full flash based page. The page will start with a small flash intro movie, and pull music from the radio. For our VIP's, the OG albums, unreleased tracks, etc will be downloadable by clicking links in the videos that pull straight from the FTP Server. All albums, movies, music videos, documentaries etc will be in there, organized, with pictures/album art, with all information available on them, tracklists, discographies etc.
Basically what we are aiming for with this section, is a full flash base database of everything and anything 2Pac with all the information available on his work as an artist from music to video material.
The page will have its own subdomain off our site, but I don't want to give out that domain just yet until we have it finalized and ready.
We are also looking at 1st Quarter 2011 for the reference section. More on this in the coming weeks.

The site will be adding a full homepage, besides the forum and reference section. This homepage is being built from scratch by our member Nikola and will serve as the home for the forum. There will be a Gallery section with 2Pac photos, a Store section linking to amazon albums, movies etc. A Links section with all the important site links. A link to the Forum of course, a Discographies section, and much more. We will have more information on this soon.
The one thing we are not sure on, is if people navigating to our site should land on the homepage first, or go straight to the forum, with a link to go to the homepage for those who want to. We may take a poll in the near future to see what people really want.

In addition to NM Radio, we will soon have NM Video. This will stream videos 24/7 from my server, just like NM Radio does Audio. We will also be able to have video interviews as well as audio interviews with this new feature. More on this soon.

Besides the regular NM Member interviews, we will be having real interviews with people close to 2Pac and Biggie. We are already working on a few, and I actually spoke to one person who I wont mention just yet, who was very close to Pac. These interviews will air throughout the year on NM Radio, the youtube channel, and hopefully NM Video if I can get anyone within driving range of DC to do an in person interview.

We have a huge surprise in store for the 15th anniversary of Pac's death, but more on that later.
