So rather than sending out mass emails every time we update the site or add something new, I decided I will do a Friday Newsletter to keep you all updated on what is going on to the site. The newsletter will be posted in this section and sent out via email. Unlike most threads in this section, i will leave this one open for awhile for discussion. So here goes our first Friday newsletter.
We have had a lot of modification updates on the site this week and I will outline them below.
1. Mentions
I have added a new modification to the site. This mod allows you to use tags to mention members on the site when making a post/thread. Please see the below thread for more information.
2. ShoutBox Updgrade
I have upgraded the shoutbox to the professional version (instead of lite version) and updated to the latest version. The pro version has a number of new features, some of which are outlined here.
3. Time Spent Online
I have installed a new mod that will track how much time members spend online. This in conjunction with the activity mod will be a great way for members and mods to track site activity. This will help members get VIP as well.
In each post in the "postbit" which shows your avatar, posts, etc it will show your current time online and average time online. The time online will also show in your profile.
The time online leader board can be found by clicking the community drop down under the nav bar and clicking "Time Spent Online Leader Board"
4. Reputation Notification
Added a small mod that will notify you when new reputation is received. Before the only way you would know is if you checked your usercp and saw the rep. Now you will get a notification (like a PM, new thank, new like etc notification) informing you of the rep.
5. Top Posters
In the Community drop down under the nav tabs you will see a link for Top Posters
I have it set to show top posters for the past 1 Day, 7 Days, 15 Days, 1 Month, and Total
Reference Section Update
The reference section is well underway and looking amazing. The first part of our reference section will be a "forum layout" section meaning it will be in the same layout of the site. This will be to ensure we have it complete. Once we have made this section public, we will take input from other members on the site just to ensure that it is perfect, and will then move on to phase 2, which will be implementing the entire section in a flash type interface.
I want to take this time to thank all the members for your support on the site. Without the members, the site is nothing. The staff and I are very excited for the future. We are constantly moving forward and striving to make our site the best it can be. We are only in competition with ourselves as no one else comes close.
We have more interviews lined up, including one that I know everyone will really love, as well as lots more big things coming to the site. Don't forget the announcements we made on January 1st, in this thread http://www.2pac-forum.com/showthread...-Announcements
