Site Speed Increase

As you should all know by now, on Saturday afternoon some changes were made to the shoutbox in order to speed up the site. On the admin side of things, I have noticed much lower server load times, but I would like to know from you the members if you have noticed a real change in the speed of the site.

Please vote in the poll and post your comments. I am always striving to make the site faster so that it is more enjoyable to members. I am not stopping yet, but I think this latest change is one of the best we have done so far in terms of getting the site running as fast as it should.

Please answer honestly. If you don't, it is hard to determine if my work is really paying off.

i'm going to post my vote one day later ... so far it feels almost the same or just a little bit faster .. one thing i gotta admit is that the main site does load a lot faster .. as in the part in the bottom where the threads r mentioned.. it also refreshes faster.. but as a whole i'll check it out for another day

Still seems like its the same to me, but i've never had issues with loading time, its always fast on my hand since I joined.

just started noticing properly... the main forum page does load a lot faster and so does posting and replying and all that jazz ... so for me its good

any others noticed page loading times or replying to threads is quicker now since the other day when we removed the shoutbox and tweaked things..?

just trying to gauge wether you feel it has helped performance

It is quicker no doubt, the home page seems to load faster (along with new posts) which is instant whereas I used to have to wait maybe upto 5 seconds for it to load O: Posting posts still seems to take a while for me thugh.

I click on the banner, go to the bathroom to take a shower, ordering a pizza after eating I go sleeping and when I wake up the site still hasnt loaded ...fun aside ...I see no differences

It's a certainly more faster than before. Everything works fine so far.

For me maybe it's a little faster. But recently i got better internet connection (1.5 mbps). Before i had 512 kbps, so now everything is faster for me
