We have updated the user tagging mod we currently use onsite to the pro version, and as a result now have some new options that a few have asked about recently if you so wish to use them 
In your settings, you now have the power to turn notifications for: Mentions, Tags & Quotes.
And also the option to only be notified of these same ones ONLY from users on your friends list.
All these are simple tick box options located under the below link :

Tick what boxes you choose and press save and you will receive less pm notifications if that's what you want.
