Day 4 of the 007 Days of Christmas (2012 Edition) is upon us.
Today I decided to switch it up a little bit, and bring a new modification to the site, one that I think you, the members, will really enjoy.
The new mod is by the same mod developers as the Shoutbox, Likes/Thanks, and Tags/Mentions/Quotes mod. This one is the "Activity Mod"
If you click the "Community" drop down link in the NavBar, you will see activity. Click on it, and it will take you Activity page. Here you can see ranking and leaderboards for the most active members on the site, broken down into category, as well as a lot of other information. You can view your own activity levels by going to your profile, and looking at the activity tab.
This mod also comes with a very robust achievements system. Those familiar with PS3, XBOX Live, or Steam will already know what this is like, as it is very similar. In the coming days, I will be setting up a number of Achievements that can be obtained for things such as:
Threads
Posts
Attachments
Thread Ratings
Visitor Messages Sent
Visitor Messages Received
Poll Posted
Poll Voted
Friends
Rep Given
Rep Received
Referrals
Time on Site
Mentions Given
Mentions Received
Tags Given
Tags Received
Quotes
Blogs Posts
Blog Comments
and much more.
Points, Trophies and Awards can and will be given out when achievements are reached, each one adding to your activity levels. For those of you who aren't VIP yet, you can automatically promote to VIP when certain activity levels are reached.
The modification has a contest system as well, which will be utilizing for some fun on the site. Contests can be for anything, best thread, best post, best thread maker for a week, best post maker for a week, etc.
