once or so a week i will sort the members list by post count. i will go through the list of members who have at least 150 posts but do not yet have VIP. i will then take a quick look at some of the posts and that members activity. if there is a good activity (above a certain level that I keep secret ) and if the posts look decent with no freeposts/spam, then I give that member VIP.

if when doing this, i see a bunch of freeposts/spam, i delete them and then re check the post count
