Afeni Shakur Promises The Release Of Tupac's "Entire Body Of Work"

ans of the late Tupac Shakur may have a blessing in the works according with news that that the prolific lyricist's full catalogue of unreleased tunes could be released to the public in the foreseeable future. This exciting news follows the announcement that the Estate of Tupac Shakur is being placed in the hands of Jampol Artist Management.
Billboard's The Juice, reports that the late Death Row rapper's mother, Afeni Shakur, is assuring that all her son's music will see the light of day. "I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac's entire body of work is made available for his fans," she said in a statement. "My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty."
Jampol Artist Management will work with Tom Whalley, the label exec who signed Shakur to his first record deal, and will oversee the licensing, apparel and other ventures that relate to Shakur. This includes music, film, name and likeness in all media, worldwide.
JAM has a proven track record with handling artists' estates posthumously, with a roster that already includes the Doors, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, Peter Tosh and Henry Mancini. With founder and president Jeffrey Jampol at the helm, the company also consults the estate of Michael Jackson.
"It's our responsibility -- and our privilege -- to ensure that new generations of fans experience the power of Tupac's music, his ideas and his storytelling," Jampol said in a statement. Afeni Shakur reaffirmed his statements, saying Jampol "will find innovative ways to continue to keep his music, his message, and his legacy alive."

Frank Alexander Passed Away At the age of 54. http://www.2pac-forum.com/showthread...ight=big+frank

"Big Frank," the former body guard of late rapper Tupac "2Pac" Shakur, was found dead in his California home Sunday night.

Frank Alexander, 54, was pronounced dead by Murrieta, Calif. officials after police responded to a 911 call regarding a possible suicide, the Murrieta Patch reported. Police said they could not release the identity of the caller.

Alexander was found with a gunshot wound to the head, Murrieta Police Lt. Tony Conrad told The Huffington Post in an email. The death is being investigated as a suicide.

"It does appear to be a suicide but the Riverside County Coroner's Office will make the final determination," Conrad said.

On his website, Alexander said that he worked as Tupac's "handpicked personal bodyguard" during the last year of the rapper's life. In June, 1998, he wrote "Got Your Back: The Life of a Bodyguard in the Hardcore World of Gangsta Rap."

The power of "Menace II Society" wasn't just in the film's gritty story and shocking violence; the Hughes Brothers put together a rich cast that turned around two break-out performances from actors Tyrin Turner and Larenz Tate, who played Caine and O-Dog, respectively.A young Jada Pinkett-Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Clifton Powell, Charles S. Dutton, Bill Duke and MC Eiht rounded out the cast. Tupac Shakur was also cast for the 1993 classic, but a well-documented fight between the fiery rapper/actor and Allen Hughes put the brakes on that.

"We at a table reading, and Tupac's just annoyed. We're trying to read and he's just annoyed," Turner recalled to "RapFix Live" when he and Tate appeared to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the film.Originally 'Pac was picked to play Sharif, a college-bound good kid trapped in the confines of a violence-plagued South Central Los Angeles. Shakur craved a bigger, meatier role, but he and the film's directors didn't see eye to eye. "The director and him had words and Tupac was no longer a part of it," Turner continued.During a 1993 episode of "Yo! MTV Raps," 'Pac told the world that he "beat up the director of 'Menace II Society,'" referring to Allen Hughes. Turner remembers being on the set of Spice 1's "Trigga Gots No Heart" and seeing the rapper and numerous members of 'Pac's entourage beating on the director. "As we start getting closer... Allen is on the ground or whatever, but it was like he was fighting like 30 people," Turner remembered. "I'm not saying Tupac wouldn't have gave him a head-up fade, but that day he wasn't giving him no head-up fade."

Still, Allen Hughes speaks highly of Tupac and his acting ability — in fact, he believes that the rapper was too big of a star for his movie. "If 'Pac had been in the movie he would've outshined everyone," Allen Hughes told MTV News back in January. "As wonderful a performance as Larenz was, I think Tupac... it would've thrown the whole axis of the movie off if Tupac was in it, because he was bigger than the movie."Turner disagrees. "I don't think that's accurate," he contested respectfully. "I think Tupac was a great talent and God bless... but there were some other killers out there. Tyrin Turner, Larenz Tate, killers."

Today 2Pac would have been 42 years old. While September 7-13th is a time we remember Pac's passing, June 16th is the time we celebrate his life.

This is by far the largest 2Pac timeline ever made, and is a great addition to what is already, by far, the largest 2Pac reference section ever made. Nothing even comes close to the scale and scope of the reference.

We have made it to the 13th, this time, a Friday the 13th. As everyone knows, along with June 16th, this is one of the two biggest days each year for a 2Pac fan. It has always been this sites policy to celebrate 2Pac's life on this day, rather than focus on his shooting and untimely death.

former Death Row Records artist, Kevin “Flipside” White (seen here with the late Tupac Shakur) of the Watts group O.F.T.B. died on Monday September 23 as a victim of gun violence.
Based out of the Nickerson Gardens Projects in Watts, the group O.F.T.B (Operation From The Bottom) signed to Death Row Records in the early 90′s and appeared on such compilations and soundtracks as Murder Was The Case, Above The Rim and Gridlock’d.
Although O.F.T.B. released their debut album Straight Up Watts on Big Beat Records in 1992 before signing with Suge Knight, they never released an album on Death Row Records until 2011 when the new owners of the Death Row catalogue, WideAwake, decided to release the group’s Damn Near Dead album.
Details about the shooting are still unknown at this time. AllHipHop.com would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Kevin “Flipside” White.

In December, our sites total posts surpassed that of another site which was the highest post count in scene history. Our site, for the past year or two, has already been the most active, and we had the most number of total threads and members, but we did not have the most total posts. That is no longer true. We passed the other site in December, and I should point out that the other site started a full TWO years before this one.

What does all that mean? Well it means that 2Pac-Forum.com is now officially the largest, and most active 2Pac site to have ever existed, and we did it at least 2 years quicker than any other 2Pac site, ever.
