As you have probably already noticed, a new Infopanels modification has been added to the site that will display various information about the site including information about activity that has happened since your last visit.
If you would like to customize the panel to display less information, you can do so by clicking the Panel Settings link at the bottom.
You can also minimize the panel entirely by clicking the arrow in the top right of the panel.
