Its Official – Joel Kinnaman Is Robocop

We recently announced that Joel Kinnaman was in talks to play the lead role in the upcoming Robocop remake and now it has been made official, Joel Kinnaman will be Robocop.

According to Deadline, MGM closed its deal with Joel Kinnaman to play the title role in Jose Padilha’s remake of Robocop.

Eric Newman and Marc Abraham will be producing through Strike Entertainment and Josh Zetumer wrote the script.

At this time we still don’t have any news on story details, but last we heard was that the film would focus more on the psychological impact of Murphy’s transformation into a cyborg.

So what do you guys think about this casting choice, good or bad?

I like his acting from the series The Killing hopefully he can do robocop some justice

i dont know what i think about this yet... not really a big fan of the movies of this but we'll see what this one is made of... i would have liked to see them get the original actor that played robocop...

the another trilogy which was produced for the TV I guess was crap
let's see what they do now with the franchise

But whatever they do they better do it right, they fucked up Robocop big time.... deserves better
