  • Act of Valor Comes Home

The surprise hit drama brings the struggles of modern warfare to your home. I have yet to watch this even though i do have the HDRip downloaded and plan to watch it soon as it seems like a great film from the trailers.

Fox Home Entertainment will bring Act of Valor to Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on June 5, 2012. The military drama, from writer Kurt Johnstad and directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh, was a hit in the US, grossing nearly $68 million on a minuscule $12 million budget.

Here's a synopsis of the film from Fox, "When a mission to recover a kidnapped CIA operative unexpectedly results in the discovery of an imminent, terrifying global threat, an elite team of highly trained Navy SEALs must immediately embark on a heart-stopping secret operation, the outcome of which will determine the fate of us all."

"An unprecedented blend of real-life heroism and original filmmaking, Act of Valor stars a group of active-duty U.S. Navy SEALs, alongside actors Roselyn Sanchez, Alex Veadov, Jason Cottle and Nester Serrano, in a film like no other in Hollywood's history. A fictionalized account of real life Navy SEAL operation, Act of Valor features a riveting story that takes audiences on an adrenaline-fueled, edge-of-their-seat journey."

Tech specs for Act of Valor are not yet known. The Blu-ray will presumably feature 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and a 1080p high definition transfer. The DVD will likely feature 5.1 Dolby Digital audio and an anamophic transfer.

    Extras will include the following:

    6 Deleted Scenes
    Director's Commentary

    Blu-ray Exclusives:

Interviews with the 7 Navy SEALs
    Making Of Featurette
    Real Bullets
    Real SEALs Real Tactics
