  • The Definitive Friday the 13th Documentary Is Currently Filming

Fans of the Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of ‘Friday the 13th hardcover and eBook editions will be pleased to know that the documentary of said book is currently filming and it is in very experienced hands.

According to the guys over at Dread Central, Daniel Farrands will be directing while Thommy Hutson will be on producing duties, these two, however, worked on the absolutely awesome Elm Street documentary, Never Sleep Again.

“Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of ‘Friday the 13th’ promises to give horror fans a unique insider’s look into the iconic horror series, featuring over 100 interviews with cast and crew spanning all twelve films and the television series, many of whom have never before publicly discussed their involvement in the long-running franchise.”

Hutson stated, “I am thrilled to be part of a project that will undoubtedly be the definitive story of not just Jason Voorhees but the film franchise that created him. It’s a campfire tale long overdue.”

The upcoming documentary, which began filming on April 24th, will be released in late 2012. Fans of Jason and Friday the 13th, your day has finally come.
