Pierce Brosnan will star alongside Owen Wilson in John Erick Dowdle's The Coup, a new thriller from Crime Scene Pictures.
The film centers on an American family who has just moved to Southeast Asia. Soon, they find themselves entangled in a violent coup in which dangerous rebels are attacking the city. Deadline reports that Brosnan will be playing a mysterious government operative.
Dowdle will be shooting from a script he co-wrote with his brother Drew Dowdle. Production is currently slated to begin this October.
