Amber Heard and Demian Bichir Joining Machete Kills

Amber Heard and Demian Bichir are joining Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Mel Gibson in sequel Machete Kills, to be distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, reports Variety.

The trade says that in the follow-up, "ex-federale (Trejo) is recruited by the U.S. government to stop an arms dealer (Gibson) from launching a deadly missile. Heard will play a manipulative assassin code-named Miss San Antonio."

Bichir's role in the movie is being kept under wraps for now. Filming starts next month in Heard's hometown of Austin, Texas.

The original was made for about $10.5 million and earned $44.1 million worldwide.
