Contagion Writer Tapped for Apes 2

Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Informant!) has just been brought on to pen the screenplay for Fox's sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes.



As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Apes 2 will take the Rise story to the next level, with the apes poised to usurp humanity as Earth's supreme rulers. Given the first film's wild success at the box office, the studio was quick to lock down the film's star Andy Serkis for another go as Caesar. Likewise, director Rupert Wyatt is confirmed to return for the followup.

Original writers Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa were also brought back to write a draft of the sequel.

didn't mind the first one although contagion bombed big time so hard to say if this will be good or bad

i really liked the 1st one so this is good, look forward to it in the future

first one was dope, it was on another level from the original book and movies including ( sequels and remakes and series) but first original movie is the best from all

Yea the last one was really really good. Was one of those movies where u go in with relatively low expectations and come out blown away. So much better than the markymark remake. That remake had estella warren tho

Contagion was garbage tho. Sooo slow and nothing ever really picks up.
