The Green Inferno puts Hostel helmer back in the director's chair.
He's been out of the game for almost five years now, but Eli Roth will soon be making his return to the director's chair with The Green Inferno, a new film which he co-wrote with Guillermo Amoedo (Aftershock), from Roth's original story.
Slash Film reports that the film will be shot in Peru and Chile this fall, and Worldview Entertainment is set to finance. Beyond that, we know little else. The plot and casting decisions are being held under lock and key for now.
The Green Inferno will mark Roth's first directorial project since 2007 with Hostel II. However, the filmmaker has kept plenty busy as a producer in recent years. He's also maintained some acting work, including Inglourious Basterds and Piranha 3D.
