Monsters helmer Gareth Edwards remains at work on Godzilla for Legendary Pictures. Yes, even though the company is currently overseeing Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim - a film also about giant monsters - the Big G is still threatening to invade theaters. The last we heard, Max Borenstein was being brought in to do some script work after David Goyer penned a draft. At a comic book expo in London, Edwards provided a brief update on the project.
While at the Kapow! Comic Book Convention, he said:
"It's going great and I'm genuinely excited about it. We're just working really hard with Legendary, who have been fantastic. Thomas Tull has just been an absolute pleasure and nothing like the experience they warn you about when you go to Hollywood. I can't say much other than I hope that we'll have some proper news soon. So you won't have to wait too long at all."
Edwards has been coy about divulging any details regarding his take on Godzilla, so this quote comes as no shocker.
