Russo brothers in final talks for Marvel sequel.
Captain America 2 is so big it's going to need not one but two directors to handle it. (OK, that's an overstatement but keep reading.)
According to both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios is in final talks with You Me & Dupree and Community helmers Anthony and Joe Russo to direct the Cap sequel. The duo were first reported as contenders a few months ago.
Captain America 2 is slated for release April 4, 2014. Here's the official synopsis: "The second installment will pick-up where the highly anticipated Marvel's The Avengers (May 4, 2012) leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world."
