Django Unchained star could be joining Tatum in White House Down.
It sounds like director Roland Emmerich is circling Oscar winner Jamie Foxx to play the President of the United States in Sony's upcoming action drama White House Down, starring Channing Tatum.
Sources tell Variety that while no official offers have been made, Foxx is reportedly interested in the POTUS role, and his reps have already engaged Emmerich.
White House Down has been put on the fast track at the studio, partly because Millennium is working on a similar project starring Gerard Butler. In Sony's pic, Tatum plays a secret service agent and single dad who must save the president from doom.
Foxx is currently filming Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino's next upcoming feature.
