It looks like the Wolf Pack is gearing up for another Las Vegas shoot. Recent reports confirm that The Hangover Part III production will begin filming on and off the Strip within the next month.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, director Todd Philips and company will once again be shooting in Caesar's Palace, where much of the first movie took place. The rest of the film we be shot in Los Angeles and Tijuana. As previously announced, this latest chapter centers on the Wolf Pack trying to spring Alan (Zack Galifianakis) out of a mental institution.
The Hangover Part III is currently aiming for a May 24, 2013 release.
As production gears up for a May 24, 2013 release, rumors about The Hangover Part III are beginning to mount. It was The Film Stage who this morning noted a two-week-old report from Life and Style Magazine that suggests that the Wolf Pack might be heading to Tijuana for their allegedly final adventure.
"A lot of it will be shot in Los Angeles," a "secret source" told to outlet, "but then they are going to do the crazy scenes in Las Vegas again and then one wild week in Tijuana."
Though by no means a confirmation of the Mexican locale, The Las Vegas Sun confirmed this week that the new film will, indeed, spend some production time in Sin City, shooting in and around Caesar's Palace and on the Las Vegas strip.
"Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy," director Todd Phillips told us some time ago, "The third would be very much a finale and an ending... I haven't discussed it with these actors yet. [It would] not follow the same template, but is very much a new idea."
A subsequent report suggested that the plot of the third film may deal with Zach Galifianakis's Alan being sent to a mental institution and Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Stu (Ed Helms) having to break him out. At this time, however, nothing is confirmed about the Warner Bros. comedy sequel outside of the release date.
