Well, because it's a genre-departure, this will likely be the only time this film will be mentioned here, but it's worth noting that Rob Zombie - according to Deadline - is going to be writing and directing a hockey film next. He just recently completed The Lords of Salem.
The site reports he'll be tackling Broad Street Bullies which he describes as Rocky meets Boogie Nights. The film is going to be set against the backdrop of the '70s (a decade Zombie loves) and will detail the rise of Philadelphia Flyers.
Zombie is producing with Andy Gould, Les Borsai and Jeremy Platt. More on the film here.
The writer-director has been discussing for a few years now how he'd like to depart from the horror genre and try new avenues.
