The Rock says he's in the running to play the DC Comics character.
We'd heard rumors about this before, but now Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is confirming that he could "possibly" play Lobo in a live-action, big-screen adaptation of the DC Comics character.
The actor tweeted the following recently: "Rumors of me possibly playing LOBO are true. Joel Silver and Brad Peyton working on it now. That could be fun."
Peyton, who will write and direct the film, also helmed Journey 2: The Mysterious Island… which starred Johnson. See how that works?
Anyhow, the whole concept of a Lobo movie seems odd considering that Warner Bros. and DC continue to struggle to find their footing for film versions of their A-list characters like the Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. What do you guys think? Is a Lobo movie a good idea?
