Indie filmmaker Tony Jopia (DeadTime) is back behind the camera for a horror-comedy called Crying Wolf. Jopia tells the Banbury Guardian, "The story is about the antics of a group of young locals in a Cotswolds village who become werewolves after one of them is bitten."
Kirstofer Dayne, Gabriela Hersham, Gary Martin and Ian Donnelly lead the cast which also includes genre vet Caroline Munro.
Jopia explains to the Guardian, the film is, “a very wacky, crazy comedy very much in the style of Hammer Horror, Benny Hill and the old Ealing comedies – lots of Britishness!" Adding, “We’ve got some really amazing special effects and prosthetics – some of the werewolves had to undergo seven hours in make-up for 20 minutes’ filming!”
Looking at the film's IMDb page, it appears Mike Peel is on prosthetics duties. His credits include Evil Aliens and Zombie Diaries 2.
The film is due to hit next year.
