The latest video blog to tease the Fall arrival of Skyfall, the latest James Bond film, trumpets the fact that the production got to spend a good amount of time shooting in the streets and key locations in London. While director Sam Mendes doesn’t seem exactly wild about the city as a place of visual splendor, it is difficult to argue the fact that Bond belongs in London in some way, and it’s good to see the character partially rooted in the city once again. The blog doesn’t have nearly the dose of action seen in the last trailer, but fans will want a look regardless.
Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes; it stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Rory Kinear, Albert Finney and Judi Dench. The film hits theaters in the UK on October 26 in Europe and November 9 in the U.S.
Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
