Transformers: Dark of the Moon scribe Ehren Kruger is writing a remake of David Cronenberg‘s creepy classic Videodrome. And the studios want a commercial director, Adam Berg, to lens the project. Yep, basically the worst thing ever.
Deadline is reporting that Kruger — who also worked on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and is currently working on a fourth movie in the series — will be writing the script. In Kruger's defense he also penned The Ring which was good. Berg did that fairly popular commercial where a shootout is frozen in time. It's nice. Look, some things don't need to be remade. This is one of those things. But Universal is moving forward with it anyway.
