Actor Tommy "Tiny" Lister -- best known as Deebo in classic hood film, Friday -- reportedly pleaded guilty in a federal court on Friday (August 31) to conspiring to commit mortgage fraud ... to the tune of $3.8 million in losses to unsuspecting lenders.
According to TMZ.com, the plea agreement says the 54-year-old actor admitted to being involved in a scheme alongside several others, who conspired to obtain four different mortgages on homes in Los Angeles using false information and bogus bank statements.
In total, Lister and his co-conspirators collected mortgages reportedly worth $5.7 million, four of which defaulted, costing the lenders $2.6 million. On the loan, Lister himself admits to withdrawing over $1.1 million in loans using the properties as collateral -- and never paid it back.
In total, Lister is said to have schemed banks out of $3.8 million.
He now faces up to 5 years in federal prison. Lister's due back in court in September. Stay tuned...
