Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds is in talks to star in a psychological thriller called The Voices. The movie will be directed by Marjane Satrapi from a script written by Paranormal Activity’s Michael R. Perry. Satrapi is the Oscar nominated director for the animated feature film Persepolis.
According to Deadline, Reynolds would play a character named "Jerry Hickfang, a lovable but strange bathtub factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path that ultimately brings him to salvation."
That definitely sounds like an interesting story. The script was good enough to make the Black List of best unproduced screenplays.
The last time we saw Reynolds was in Safe House, and he has already completed shooting Universal's supernatural movie R.I.P.D. He's also set to take on the lead role in the Juan Carlos Fresnadillo-directed remake of Highlander. No word on what is going one with Deadpool right now.
