Screenwriter Albert Torres, who was recently hired to retool the script for the live-action Akira movie, will rewrite the screenplay for the feature adaptation of The Strange Case of Hyde, based on the Dark Horse graphic novel.
The story follows Dr. Jekyll, who has recently been released from prison after allegedly being cured of his condition. Now he is tasked with hunting down a new monster that has apparently been using an improved version of the infamous Hyde serum.
The pic will be produced Dark Horse Entertainment, Skydance Productions and Mark Gordon Productions, reports The Wrap.
