It seems like all of this end of the world talk has ignited a fire at the studios who are producing end of the world films. Yesterday we got to see the first trailer for Seth Rogen and James Franco's hilarious looking comedy This is the End, and today we get our first look at Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's film The World's End. Pegg tweeted the above photo today to celebrate the end of principal photography. The film also features Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, and Eddie Marsan.
The movie sounds like it's going to be really fun, and as a fan of these guys, I'm looking forward to seeing it. The movie comes out on October 25th.
Synopsis:
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Pegg), a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
