November and December were relatively exciting months for The Host 2 - the sequel to Bong Joon-ho's creature feature The Host - when two clips were released, leading many to believe that the film's release was just around the corner.
Not so.
Those clips featuring some monster madness are rather old and presumably made to generate interest in a follow-up. But now we have word as to when you'll see The Host 2 become a reality and who is on board to write and direct.
According to Twitch Film, Im Pil-sung - the director of Doomsday Book - is writing a script for newcomer Park Myung-chun to direct. The latter will be aiming for a release in the summer of 2014. As previously reported, two creatures will be featured in the film this time.
The Host 2 has seen various names attached, hopefully these two will stick and bring this to fruition.
