It looks like Tina Fey is going to star in The Muppets sequel along side her Invention of Lying co-star Ricky Gervais. She's in final negotiations to play the female lead, who is a Russian gulag prison guard.
Fey is another great choice for the world of the Muppets, she's the type of comedic actress that can easily blend in with the fuzzy puppet cast. She also joins Modern Family's Ty Burrell, who was previously cast in the role of a lazy Interpol inspector. The director of the first film, James Bobin, is back to direct the movie from a script he co-wrote with Nicholas Stoller. All we really know about the film's story so far is that it will follow the Muppets on a European adventure.
