  • Will the Oscars Unite All the James Bond Actors?

Sean Connery reportedly the holdout (surprise).

Next month's Academy Awards telecast will include a special segment in honor of the 50th anniversary of James Bond, and the British press are reporting that all six Bond actors -- yes, including the retired and usually reticent Sean Connery -- might appear together for it.

The Daily Record (via MI6) claims an offer's been made to Connery to appear during the Oscars' four-minute tribute to 007, which might also see Adele appear to perform her Oscar-nominated Skyfall theme song. Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby have reportedly agreed to appear together onstage.

"Sir Sean has been invited to take to the stage along with Daniel and the other 007s. As yet, we’ve not had a no from him. Normally he is quick to turn things down," claims the paper's alleged Oscar insider. "Sean’s relationship with the Oscars is good and we’re hoping he’ll appear. ... His issues with the Bond producers are not our business and we hope he will overlook that as we pay tribute to what he has done. It would be magnificent to see him up there with the other actors – and quite a coup.”

The Academy Awards airs February 24.
