The final movie in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: There And Back Again, was originally supposed to be released on July 18th, 2014. To avoid going up against FOX's X-Men: Day of Future Past, the studio has moved the released date of the film to December 17th, 2014. So it looks like fans are just going to have to wait a little bit longer to see the Hobbit trilogy wrap up, ending the reign of Jackson's Middle Earth movies.
The first film in the trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was pretty awesome, and it's pulled in $300.9 million domestically and $979.9M worldwide since it was released on December 14th, 2012. The second installment in the franchise, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, is set to be released on December 13th. 2013.
