  • 'Jack The Giant Slayer' Stomps Way To #1

It didn't exactly stomp the box office for a mighty victory, but Jack the Giant Slayer easily won the weekend's movie list over The Last Exorcism Part II and the comedy 21 & Over.

The Warner Bros. action, based on the Jack and the Beanstalk legend, pulled in just 28 million to debut at #1. It's budget was a reported $200 million.

Last weekend's top movie, Identity Thief, fell to #2 with $9.7 million to bring its domestic total to $107.4 in its fourth weekend.

The college party flick, 21 & Over, debuted at #3 with $9 million this weekend. It's about a straight A studio who has a wild night celebrating his 21st birthday the night before his big medical school exam. And, the horror sequel, The Last Exorcism Part II, was the last wide release this weekend. The CBS Films movie debuted in fourth place with just over $8 million.

Closing out the top 5 was The Rock's Snitch with $7.7 million.

That's a wrap for this weekend. This upcoming week, look out for the release of Colin Farrell's Dead Man Down and Sam Raimi's adventure Oz: The Great And Powerful.
