  • Has Seth Grahame-Smith Completed the ‘Beetlejuice 2′ Screenplay?

It was announced last year that Warner Bros. Pictures would be working with Tim Burton on a continuation to the 1988 Tim Burton-directed hit Beetlejuice, which starred Michael Keaton as a ghoul hired by a recently deceased couple to drive the new owners out of their house.

Seth Grahame-Smith, who took a stab at Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Dark Shadows, was hired to pen the screenplay for the “sequel.” He took to Twitter this morning to tease the following image; a Beetlejuice action figure standing in front of a computer screen with with the subtitle “It’s showtime…” teasing below. The figure, I suppose, is standing in front of the completed screenplay? News soon, I hope.

Burton and Keaton made the movie while they were working on the studio’s first Batman film, which was released the following year.
