  • Kevin Eastman Talks awesomeness of New Ninja Turtles Film

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creators Peter Laid and Kevin Eastman both have a very different point of view on this new Ninja Turtle movie being made by producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman. Laird seems to not really care for it, and recently expressed his disappointment in casting Megan Fox as April O'Neil. Eastman on the other hand seems to be very enthusiastic about it, saying nothing but good things. In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, he excitedly talks about the film saying,

One of the things that's awesome about the relationship I've had with Platinum Dunes and Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman and some of the producers, Scott Mednick and Galen Walker on the series, is that It's probably amusing to a lot of people what the press puts out there and what they say people behind the scenes really want to do with the movie, but [Platinum Dunes'] main goal is actually to make the best possible "Turtles" movie with respect to the fans and the core audience as possible. We've learned from movies like "The Avengers," which to me was a superhero movie so good to me personally that I practically wept. It was perfect, you know what I mean? That's the stuff that I grew up on. Joss Whedon just knocked it out of the park, the whole team did, and that includes choreographing all the interlocking movies. From everything that I've seen in the ["TMNT"] script and the development and everything they've asked my input on specifically, it's gonna be an awesome, familiar, solid "Turtles" movie. It'll have everything that fans are gonna want and then some.

I really do hope and want this movie to end up being as good as he says it is. I'm rooting for a great action film that Ninja Turtles fans are going to love! Hopefully they can pull it off. As a fan of the franchise, it's hard not to be excited to see how it turns out.

    "Megan Fox as April O'Neil"

    It couldn't get any worse.

    "producer Michael Bay"

    Oh fuck that's bad.

It'll be all cheap CGI and corny action, unlike the brilliant Jim Henson TMNT films of my childhood.

"We've learned from movies like "The Avengers," which to me was a superhero movie so good to me personally that I practically wept."

Are you fucking serious?! All those Marvel Avengers films were crap, aside from the first Iron Man. Not just crap, but pure rancid shit. Jon Favreau is a hack and I hope he gives birth to a 50lb herpe.
