Mary Jane Watson is a huge player in Peter Parker/Spider-Man's life, but it seems she has a minor role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Less than a month into filming she is reportedly done filming her part. This isn't surprising, as it feels as if most of the sequel is one big build up to the third movie .
For Peter Parker, life is busy. Between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen Stacy, high school graduation cannot come quickly enough. Peter has not forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that is a promise he cannot keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
My expectations are low for this sequel, I feel with all of the new characters they're introducing it is going to collapse under its own weight. We'll find out when it hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
