Last week we reported that Smallville's Aquaman, Alan Ritchson, was cast in the role of Raphael in the upcoming Jonathan Liebesman-helmed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The rest of the the turtle cast has now been revealed.
According to Deadline Pete Ploszek will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard will play Donatello, and Noel Fisher will play Michaelangelo. I'm not really familiar with any of these names but Ploszek has done guest appearances on Parks and Recreation and Shameless, and Fisher played a solid role in History Channel's Hatfields & McCoys.
As I've said before it really doesn't matter what the actors for the Turtles look like because they will be shot using motion capture technology like Avatar and Tintin. The actors are basically going to be lending their voices and facial expressions.
The movie also stars Megan Fox, and is set to be released on May 16th, 2014. They will be shooting on a budget of about $125 million, and it will incorporate the same martial arts fighting style that we saw in The Raid, which is cool. All we can hope for at this point is that they've got a solid story and script that the fans are going to enjoy.
