Last month we posted a poster for a ridiculous sounding film called Sharknado featuring a tornado of man-eating sharks. I honestly can't say that with a straight face. We've got two new images from the film that are sure to make you laugh. For those of you excited to see this movie, you'll be happy to know that it's set to premiere on the SyFy Channel on July 11th! Here's the synopsis:
When a freak hurricane swamps Los Angeles, thousands of sharks terrorize the waterlogged populace. And when the high-speed winds form tornadoes in the desert, nature’s deadliest killer rules water, land, and air.
SyFy’s VP of original movies Thomas Vitale had this to say about the movie:
These are not comedies. They have that outlandish, campy, over-the-top tone, but the people involved are real and want to survive. If you were in a situation where all of a sudden you have sharks falling from the sky, once you got over the insanity of it, you’d try to survive.
So they are basically saying, if there was a real sharknado, this movie will show us how real people would react in this real situation… I love it.
The movie stars Aubrey Peeples, Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, and John Heard.
