VH1 is giving viewers a sneak peek at CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, the forthcoming Kate Lanier-penned biopic that follows the rise of R&B group TLC.
The film, directed by Charles Stone III, stars Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Keke Palmer as Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, and Lil Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.
As far as casting women that look like TLC’s original members, I do not think that the casting director could have been any closer. While Sidora, Palmer and Lil Mama definitely look the part, do you think they will do a thorough job bringing the group’s story to life?
At a press conference on Thursday (July 25), Watkins and Thomas announced that they have signed with LA Reid at Epic Records and are preparing to release a compilation album on October 15. The collection will feature past hit songs and perhaps new songs by Ne-Yo, Dallas Austin, and Lady Gaga.
Watch the teaser below. The TLC Story airs on VH1 in October.
