Even though Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull didn't make most audiences happy, there's been talk of a fifth film since its release. Now that Disney owns Lucasfilm, who knows what is going to happen with the Indiana Jones franchise. I personally think they could just leave it alone and fans will be happy with the original three films. Surprisingly, it sounds like Harrison Ford is interested in a comeback. Here's what he had to say in a recent interview with The Telegraph.
"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn't necessarily have to kick as much ass. To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do."
Well, if you put it that way, maybe there could be a decent fifth movie. I think a smaller character driven film about Jones could be pretty awesome. There's no word on whether there are any plans for one, though. Lucas was working on a script before he sold everything to Disney, so the ball is in Disney's court right now.
Would you like to see a fifth Indiana Jones movie? Or do you think this should be one of those franchises they just leave alone?
