Apparently Spectacular Now star Miles Teller is at the top of director Josh Trank's list of actors to play Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic in his Fantastic Four reboot. The news comes from The Wrap, who say the information comes from several inside sources.
Teller is a talented young actor that has also starred in films such as Project X and Footloose. His role in Spectacular Now is the best thing he's done though, and really proved how good of an actor that he is.
This a very different and surprising choice than what I was expecting, but I like it. I think Teller would be great in the movie, so I hope it happens. The movie is still very early in the development process, but the site says that Trank has met with Teller.
It was previously rumored that Chronicle star Michael B. Jordan could play Johnny Storm a.k.a. Human Torch and that Girls star Allison Williams could be Sue Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman.
I'm curious to see who will actually end up cast in the film. I'm pretty sure whatever they do with the movie it will be better than the first films that were made.
