Arnold Schwarzenegger is truly making a comeback to film after his stint as Governor of California, and I for one couldn’t be happier. And now, with The Legend of Conan firmly on the horizon, I’m super stoked as to what they can bring to the table.
So, who’s writing this one? Well, according to Deadline, Andrea Berloff (World trade Center) has been attached to write the upcoming film via Universal Studios. Most recently, Berloff, adapted the French action film Sleepless Night for Warner Bros.
The new film is said to draw a parallel back to the original raw, violent Conan films thanks to Chris Morgan’s involvement, which will see king Conan sitting upon his throne and following his efforts to stay there while obliterating anyone in his way.
Producer Fredrik Malmberg said;
We’re thrilled to be working with Chris and his creative team and to see Arnold Schwarzenegger return in the role that started his career. [Morgan called Berloff] an amazing writer who can juggle masculine grittiness with extreme emotional depth. Her take on Conan is powerful and genuine and would make Robert E. Howard proud.
