Yesterday came news that Ty Simpkins had landed a starring role in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, “Jurassic World.” Now there’s word that another young actor has joined the cast.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Nick Robinson (“Kings of Summer”) will join Ty and, possibly, Bryce Dallas Howard in the Colin Trevorrow directed film. Details about the film are still being kept secret, but we do know that Robinson will play the older brother of Simpkins’ character.
The fourth installment in this dinosaur franchise is being written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly with Steven Spielberg producing. THR is saying that Spielberg is heavily involved with the production of the film, including helping out with some of the casting decisions. As someone who was pretty hesitant about another “Jurassic Park” film, this does give me a bit more confidence in the success of the film.
