I think it's no-brainer news that Army of Darkness 2 will be directed by Sam Raimi, but in case you weren't sure, we have confirmation from Fede Alvarez. Alvarez was the director of the recent remake of Evil Dead, and he was asked on Twitter if he would be directing Army Of Darkness 2, and he simply replied with "Sam Raimi will!" Of course he will!
Alvarez talked about making a sequel to his remake somewhere down the line, and then merging the Bruce Campbell original world with the Jane Levy remake world, which would be amazing! I personally think they should throw Drag Me to Hell in the mix as well! That looks like it belongs in the same universe.
Campbell recently confirmed that the movie was going to happen, and I don't see how Raimi couldn't direct the movie. It's only a matter of time before we see this sequel happen, and I just can't wait to see what they do with it!
