According to Deadline, Millennium Films has set Mark Tonderai (House At The End Of The Street) to direct a modern-day retelling of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead. Both Millennium and Campbell Grobman Films are looking to begin production on the film in the Summer of 2014.
Millennium Films first remade Day of the Dead, back in 2008, which had Steve Miner on-board to direct, but it appears as if they want another stab at the film.
In this retelling, the film is said to take place “years after the zombie plague has wiped out most of Earth’s population, a group of scientists and survivors attempt to find a cure, and instead open Pandora’s box.”
Tonderai penned the script alongside Lars Jacobson.
So, who’s ready for yet another remake of Day of the Dead?
