Don’t hold a grudge just because they’re remaking Takashi Shimizu’s The Grudge… I mean, that was a remake too!
Deadline reports that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe are rebooting the series, which of course began life as Shimizu’s Japanese horror series Ju-On.
We heard about this reboot back in 2011, but now it looks like it might be heating up again. (By the way, over in Japan, a new Ju-On film is also underway called Ju-On: Beginning of the End.)
Midnight Meat Train writer Jeff Buhler will script the new Grudge. He’s also working on a new take on Jacob’s Ladder. Call it Jacob’s Elevator!
